Many hunters go a lifetime without seeing the number of deer harvested on this land.  Trophy bucks are killed each year.  January is the prime rutting time and the bucks will be on the move!  While we cannot guarantee that "Big One" for each hunter, we can promise some of the finest hunting in America.

General Information:

The Annual Morgan Academy Deer Hunt is an annual fund-raiser for the local school.  Friends of Morgan Academy donate their time and land to provide wildlife enthusiasts with an exceptional hunting opportunity.  All hunting is conducted on privately-owned land that is located around Selma, Alabama.  Hunters will be placed in various box and tree stands overlooking planted food plots, game trails and hardwood bottoms.

Check-in - Check-in time is 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at a local hotel to be designated at a later date.   The first hunt will leave at 2:00 p.m.  Check-out time is 12:00 noon after the last morning hunt.

Hunting Requirements - An Alabama State hunting license is required and can be obtained at check-in.  An out-of-state license will cost approximately $120.00.   No alcoholic beverages are allowed during the hunting day.

What to Bring - Each hunter should bring a rifle or bow and ammo (no shotguns).  Each hunter will need a flashlight, warm clothes, rain suit, waterproof boots and a large cooler.

Deer Limits - Each hunter is allowed to take one buck per day.  Does may be taken if the landowner and regulations permit.

Transportation - Airport pick-up and return service is available for flights into Dannelly Field in Montgomery, Alabama.  There is a $100.00 charge for this service.  There is no charge for pick-up and return service for private flights into Craig Field, Selma, Alabama.

Cancellation Policy - There will be no refunds if a reservation is canceled after December 1st.
